Old Gregg School
Past, Present and Future.
The Vision Statement of the Old Gregg School
|
For over 80 years the Old Gregg School building in Spring Mills
educated children and young adults throughout eastern Penns
Valley in the values and responsibilities of community and service.
The traditions of the historic Gregg School will be celebrated and
expanded in the Old Gregg School Community Center, a multi-
purpose facility benefiting the entire Penns Valley Community.
Supporting small businesses with affordable office space, athletic
facilities for recreation, open space for meetings and events, and
lovingly maintained grounds and outdoor play areas, Old Gregg
School CC is a treasure in the heart of the Valley. Our immediate
vision includes licensed preschool and pre-k facilities for working
families, affordable office space for start-ups within a short
commute of State College (with DSL available), certified kitchen
facilities for area food businesses, a lending library supported by
Scout organizations, and low-cost basketball and exercise
facilities. The future is open to the vision of the community as a
whole as the Old Gregg School carries a tradition of community
service into a new century.
Currently, the Old Gregg School is run by a volunteer advisory
board. The board usually meets once per month on varying
dates. Check the calendar page to see when the next meeting
is being held. Use the Contact us page to contact the advisory
board.
